Ubuntu is installed and the GUI *can* be "used". lspci returns the following kernel mod: nvidiafb, nouveau. My computer has a nVidia GeForce 6100 nForce 430 (circa 2004/2005). I've spent the past few days Googling and have not come up with any real good solutions. As you can see in the image I've attached to this post, there are some significant display issues when it comes to using the GUI. I recently installed Ubuntu 20.04.1 on a Windows Vista era desktop I got for free. Any ideas to make GUI usable at a reasonable resolution, or is the graphics card too old? Tried to use a 4xx series nVidia driver via apt install- worked (stable GUI) but locked resolution to 640x480 (tried but unable to add resolution modes).
